Hi everyone! this is my new post :D
¿What is the urban planning?
Urban planning is the study of planning and order of cities and territory.
This discipline takes into account sociology, political or normative, environment, technologies and design. Urban planning deals with new growth of cities, maintaining or improving the existing with equipment and infrastructure that are needed.
Today the most innovative is the design of sustainable cities, which include renewable energies and are in the process of preserving the environment.
One of the main elements of urbanism is urban design, that it's the interpretation and planning from aesthetic, functional and physical of cities. The purpose of urban design is that it meets the needs of communities from public space and improves people's quality of life.
Good urban design connects the inhabitants with basic services such as transport, hospitals, schools, parks supermarkets, etc, also respects the environment and seeks a more equitable city.
An example of urban design and planning is Barcelona. The city of Barcelona being historic because of it's layout and it's spacial organization, has grown maintaining it's scale and proportions. Historical character prevails throughout its explosion. The new city of Barcelona stands out of it's urban innovations, such as the super-manzanas. The super-manzanas are unions of 9 blocks in which the pollution produced by vehicles decreases, since the streets are used for pedestrians and cyclist. Barcelona has become and more sustainable and environmentally friendly city with outstanding urban development worldwide, respecting it's history, architecture and heritage.

I love Barcelona! That city has a perfect Dameron's check. It makes that Barcelona is an interesting place.
