Blog 4: my career

 Hi everyone, this is my new post!

Architecture is extremely entertaining but a difficult profession, We have to be learning numerous topics about the city, regulations, material, sustainable constructions, new programs to model, etc. I have been studying architecture for three years and I feel that it’s a fantastic profession because we have countless possibilities and to provide citizens with a quality city. The positive aspect of architecture is that you will always be in contact with people and know their housing realities, as well as with the city and the environment. Architects have the possibility to build new public spaces, housing, planning the city and contribute to new public policies and I think that’s wonderful. 

I decided to study architecture because my favorite classes at school were art, history, and mathematics, so it was compatible with the career. In my second year of university, I discovered that I liked history, heritage, and urban planning, and I think that in a few years I will work in one of those areas.

Studying at this university and this career has allowed me to meet great people with a lot of vocation to teach and I have learned that architecture is a complicated career, but it’s worth the effort.
